  1. I could not wait to set up this TV at home. The image is superior to any TV in its class. I do not see the extra money ($ 400. Over 00), on the XBR model. Photo of 1080 incedible. Highly recommended! Rating: 2 / 5

I was attracted by the HD when my friend told me exactly what model Sony TV for over two major Black Friday. I too need to withdraw my analog rather powerful Panasonic’s when I started to investigate and one of the things that I note this was -1) Nobody broadcasts in 1080p, and no will for some time to come – cable / dish / OverTheAir (OTA). The extra pixels are worthless if you look at the commands in your environment maison.2) Even if you have a blu ray hooked up now with a 40 inch screen, there is no way the difference between his “lesser” cousin (Version 720p) and 1080p. Like you can not tell the difference between an image and a 4 megapixel image on an 8-megapixel camera 8×10. On screen sizes above 50 inches, maybe 1080p will make a difference. I do not know – because nobody has a flow 1080p.3) All that 1080p is just fake ad – designed to suck up extra cash from you. It makes sense if you use it as a computer monitor that is uniquement.Il color, refresh rates, contrast ratios have greater effects on image quality. At this point, I decided to put some money and go to a panel with the 720p specifications on many other paramètres.Avance fast few months – I found a 42 incher Sceptre (x42GV-Komodo ) for under a thousand dollars. I thought – what the heck – lets try it. The specifications sound very decent. I’ve never owned a Sceptre product sooner! When Sceptre arrived, the first thing I noticed that almost every shot in HD digital stations / Yagi antenna through a fortune on giving patio. This was the first surprise.Mes friends Sony picture quality was quite spectacular – without needing ajustements.Pour the Sceptre, the output of the pick box was not good – and I spent a good time to try to adjust the colors and said to myself – maybe I should go back and get a Sony. The skin tones always look too rouge.Le next day – I did a Google search and advice erupted exact – to push down the red in the RGB panel keeping everything else at the time défaut.Une I had this little fact – the Sceptre image quality on OTA HD, that neither I nor my friends can not distinguish from Sony in terms of clarity, color, resolution, and everything you use to determine the télévision.Peut be that if we see them side by side, we can do something – but there is much variation in the programming material that it is between these two TVs in terms of quality of image. Whatever we superlatives apply to the overpriced Sony applies to both the Sceptre I am at half price. I can not comment on the Olevia and Vizio since I do not own one or have seen / used one at maison.Le sound on the Sony is superior to Sceptre – Sceptre but then this telescope close giving it a more elegant look – yes – but for once, Sony is not a winner in the looks “category. The cost is $ 1000 Sony more than the Sceptre and also has a smaller screen (this part is visible). I bought an HDTV to watch HD – so I can not comment on the performance of two SD TV. I do not much more for SD broadcasts. In a year or two – it will be dead in all cas.Le Sceptre has one or two minor problems – it smelled a bit during the first step and the odor disappeared gradually with the use after one week. The Sony, however, smelled jasmine (just kidding). This tells me that the Scepter was not “burned in” at the factory. Sceptre uses “Sony” remote control codes – so that any universal remote works with the Sceptre (thats cool).. Sceptre disabled on me twice when I quickly punched the buttons on the remote. Hopefully this is just a bug firmware.Si you’re ready to deal with finicky children – you can buy two of the Olevia / scepters for the cost of Sony and still enjoy a quality of image itself. My friends from other mobile to HD is certainly not too expensive for Sony, not now that they had a look at my half price TV 2nd level brand. “Nothing about this second tier when it comes to image quality HD.Les comments asking me why I rate the Sony a” One Star “if I find the pic quality to be good. For those who do not get it – that’s why! You can save $ 1000 and get exactly the picture quality even on a bigger screen. If someone wants to pay $ 1,000 without additional gain in performance – that they do not deserve anything other than Star One. On the scale of performance, the Sony is good – equal. On the scale of price vs performance, it is there in the fosse.Mise Update – I sent live images of Wands on Amazon. The search for “Sceptre Komodo.” No – I do not particularly recommend the Scepter – just show that it is possible to spend much less and get equal results. Now I understand why the picture looks good in Sony stores – is because of adjustments to their preset default is good. I never bought the Sceptre in the store because he would play with all settings default – where the peak sucks. But once I had a little twisted – It was as good as the best. The choice is yours. I kept it for a few weeks, but could not live with the problems. The HD picture is beautiful and detailed – unless the scene is very dark or bright. On a dark stage, the black is gray with purple opacification (my game was built in September). On a white stage, there are two small areas of shadow in the background, and abundant gray spots at the top if you’re all outside the vertical axis. And the blonde hair looked a little green, despite my fiddle with the settings. If a progressive image DVD was pretty nice, 480i (SD cable) and VHS terrible.Remplacé was a 42 “Panasonic Plasma Professional (TH-42PH9UK), which is one third cheaper. The plasma is also nice with HD (though not as detailed), the colors are beautiful (blonde hair is blond), blacks are superb, the whites are solid and pure, and the SD picture is much better than the LCD (VHS is still decent ). If you’re lucky, your Sony will not interfere, but I did not pay that kind of money for a TV that can not reproduce true black or white. Rating: 2 / 5

The experience of buying the TV from Amazon is great. The quality of the TV does not meet our expectations. I see waves in the image. I’ll know if it’s cable TV or poor quality. Rating: 3 / 5
